Phil Soanes running the London Marathon in aid of EAAA

Hi there I’m Phil and I work for Aviva in Norwich and live in Horsford. On 3rd October this year I will be running the London Marathon.

I ran the marathon virtually last year and this will be my first time running on the streets of London.

Whilst this is a personal challenge for me, I really want to make it about much more than that and use it as an opportunity to raise some funds for East Anglian Air Ambulance. This is a charity which helps save so many lives each year.

Did you know that the East Anglian Air Ambulance was tasked to patients in Norfolk 88 times in April 2021 alone! I want to support this local charity and my aim is to raise over £1000.

Raising funds, the traditional way is tricky because of COVID so for my first event, I’m planning a raffle which I can promote online and through social media channels.

This is where you come in. I’m reaching out to local businesses to support this amazing charity by donating raffle prizes.

I would be hugely grateful for any donation you are able to make to support my fundraising efforts and will acknowledge all donations on my social networking/fundraising pages when advertising/promoting the raffle.

I mentioned that I work for Aviva and as an employee, Aviva will match pound for pound any funds I raise. This means any donations you make really will make a huge difference.

If you feel able to donate a prize, please get in touch, I’m happy to collect any donations from you.

I look forward to hearing from you soon at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or if you wish to sponsor me please see my Just Giving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/phil-soaneslm2021
