BBC Presenter and Break's celebrity ambassador Jake Humphrey launches scheme to support local businesses and Norfolk based charity Break

25th November 2009

Discounts and offers for those supporting Norfolk businesses are revealed today in a new countywide loyalty scheme which will also raise funds for local charity Break.

The Althingsnorfolk loyalty scheme was launched by BBC sports presenter and Break’s celebrity ambassador, Jake Humphrey at the Break Shop in Holt .

The scheme enables Norfolk residents and visitors to obtain discounts and offers at a range of participating businesses across the county, each time they present their Allthingsnorfolk loyalty key card. The card, which only costs £1 and has unlimited use, can be purchased at Break shops throughout the county as well as at www.allthingsnorfolk.com, with 50p going directly to Break.

The founders of Allthingsnorfolk, Simon Chapman and Paul Grainger said “We have launched this scheme to showcase and help preserve the great range of local businesses we have across the county, whilst also using it to support a very worthy cause, Break”

After a successful trial period in part of the county, Simon and Paul have developed a membership package for local businesses with some great benefits for only £25 per annum. Benefits include a full web page of their business on www.allthingsnorfolk.com and 25 complimentary keycards for distribution to staff and customers.

The scheme incorporates the flexibility for businesses to change their offers at anytime to meet their marketing needs. It allows businesses large and small to be part of a scheme that promotes local businesses to residents and visitors alike, therefore helping to increase footfall and attract new customers.

The innovative keycard will act as a prompt to use local businesses and promote the great work of Break. It will also help to consolidate the number of cards that people have to carry around by businesses joining this cost effective countywide loyalty scheme rather than setting up or running their own.
